GIRLS GENERATION TIFFANY IS GETTING MARRIED

I don't usually share news like this on my blog, but today I started writing with excitement. Girl's Generation, Wonder Girls, and Kara are three K-pop girl groups considered second-generation girl groups. I first got to know Kara in a Japanese drama series, if I remember correctly. Afterwards, I got to know Wonder Girls and Girl's Generation (SNSD) through their songs. While Wonder Girls is a group I know through their songs, Girl's Generation is a group I know from watching their variety shows and school visits during their formation, which are available on YouTube. I don't know, I feel a closeness to them. Don't let the word "group"; they are South Korea's national girl group, and they are still popular in the 2007-2025 universe. Before drone technology existed, a helicopter was used for their performance of the song "Genie" as part of a music program. I think that performance still holds a record. They had nine members: Yoona, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Tiffany, Jessica (who left the group in 2014), Hyoyeon, Yuri, Seohyun, and Sunny. Yoona, Sooyoung, and Yuri have proven themselves in acting, and now Seohyun, the youngest member of the group, is also acting. Taeyeon is an incredible singer with a great voice. Hyoyeon, this girl, is someone I particularly admire; she's a fantastic dancer. She's also pursuing a career as a DJ. And now, Tiffany... Born in America, Tiffany lives up to her Leo zodiac sign. She has a very unique stage presence. Although she's famous for her eyes narrowing when she smiles, her voice quality, aura, and demeanor, as far as I've seen in entertainment shows, make her a very helpful person. And yes, she announced that she and actor Byun Yo Han are dating and planning to get married.

I'm so happy! I don't know if you remember Byun Yo Han from the drama Mr. Sunshine, but he's a fantastic actor. He was the fiancé of the main female lead; a wealthy Joseon nobleman who lived in Japan for a long time, far from the fiancée his family chose for him. From the moment he appeared in the drama, you thought of him as a carefree rich man, but you realized he was a character with much more depth. I watched him in this 2018 drama, but even then, he was acting in those films and receiving award-winning reviews.

My Korean drama notes: Although I don't watch dramas or follow news as much as I used to, I was very happy to see this news. My personal opinion: the quality of dramas from 10 years ago is unfortunately not there anymore. Anyway, I think they make a good couple.

I wish them happiness. Additionally, in terms of improving English, variety shows improve because there are no Turkish subtitles and you have to watch them with English subtitles. I know there are many different and diverse groups now, but the golden age was the era of second-generation girl groups. You can watch Girl's Generation variety shows on YouTube in your free time.
